Abby Badwi, P. Geol.

Director

Abby Badwi is an international energy executive and professional geologist with more than 36 years of experience in the exploration, development and production of oil and gas fields in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He is currently Vice Chairman of Bankers Petroleum Ltd., an oil and gas company with heavy oil operations in Albania, where he previously served as President and CEO from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, he served as President, CEO, and director of Rally Energy Corp. which had heavy oil operations in Egypt and other assets in Pakistan and Canada, and which was sold in 2007. He has been an officer and director of several Canadian public and private companies.

Bill Fanagan, CA

Chairman

Bill Fanagan is a private businessman, a fellow of the institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He was the President and CEO of Gulf Indonesia Resources Limited from 1998 to 2001. His financial and executive career with Gulf Canada Resources Limited and its affiliates spanned 24 years with assignments in Indonesia, Australia, USA, Russia, and Canada. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Verenex Energy Inc. from its inception in 2004 until its sale in December 2009.

Claudio Ghersinich, P. Eng.

Director

Claudio Ghersinich is an independent businessman and professional engineer with more than 31 years of oil and gas experience. He is President and CEO of Carrera Investments Corp. (an investment company). He is a co-founder and former Executive VP and VP Business Development of Vermilion Energy Trust. He has also served on the Board of Directors of various public companies including Verenex Energy Inc., Vermilion Energy Trust, Aventura Energy Inc., Bulldog Energy Inc., Bulldog Resources Inc., and Pegasus Oil and Gas Inc., as well as several private and non-profit organizations. These companies have operated assets in Canada, Europe, Libya, Trinidad, Argentina, and Australia.

Jim McFarland is the President and CEO of Valeura Energy Inc., past President, CEO, director, and co-founder of Verenex Energy Inc., and a past director of Vermilion Energy Trust and its affiliate Aventura Energy Inc. (See Management Profile)

Ken McKay, P. Geol.

Director

Ken McKay is an independent businessman and a professional geologist with more than 30 years of industry experience. He is the former Executive Chairman of Bulldog Oil & Gas Inc. which had operations in Saskatchewan, Canada. He has founded, grown, and sold a number of successful public and private oil & gas companies in his career, including Bulldog Energy Inc. and Bulldog Resources Inc. in 2005 and 2008, respectively.

Ron Royal, P. Eng.

Director

Ron Royal is a professional engineer with more than 36 years of experience with Imperial Oil Limited and ExxonMobil’s international upstream affiliates. Prior to retiring in 2007, he was President & General Manager of Esso Chad and resided in N’Djamena, Chad from 2002 to 2007. During this period, he oversaw the development of the Chad Development Project, one of the oil industry’s largest investments in Sub-Sahara Africa. Previously, he was General Manager & Production Manager of Esso REP in France. He has served on the Board of Directors of Esso REP, Esso Chad, Tchad Oil Transportation Company, and Cameroon Oil Transportation Company. In 2003, he was awarded the title “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Chad” for his contribution to the economic development of Chad.

Stephanie Stimpson, Partner, Torys LLP

Stephanie Stimpson is a partner at the law firm of Torys LLP in Calgary, Alberta, with more than 16 years of experience practicing law in the US and Canada. Stephanie has a diverse corporate practice working with clients on corporate, securities, project development, and finance matters. She works primarily with domestic and international oil and gas companies. Stephanie has been named as a leading lawyer in the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers.
Prior to practicing law in Canada, Stephanie clerked for Judge Stephen Trott at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced environmental and natural resource law in Denver, Colorado.
