Continuing Partnership in Coral Restoration Valeura has continued in a long-standing partnership with the Marine Science Research Centre of Chulalongkorn University on a coral restoration project in Sri Chang Island, Chonburi Province. The Company%u2019s employees have actively participated in coral transplantation efforts in degraded reef areas, marine sanctuary clean-ups, and releasing sea turtles, sharks, and crabs back into their natural habitats. In 2024, a total of 1,030 baby corals were successfully transplanted and survived in the sea, contributing to the long-term health of the marine ecosystem. Valeura also supported the cultivation of climate-resilient corals that are better able to withstand and tolerate rising sea temperatures, bleaching, and other effects of climate change.Marine Conservation for Youth To build awareness and knowledge among the next generation, Valeura organised 10 marine conservation camps in Samae San, engaging more than 300 students from 10 schools. These camps were designed to educate children about the immediate and long-term importance of coral reefs and marine ecosystem preservation. The initiative also encouraged participation from non-academic audiences to broaden community involvement and inspire collective action for sustainable marine conservation.Collaborative Coastal Restoration ProjectsAlong with coral reef restoration, Valeura collaborated with the Samut Songkram Fishery Association and local communities to restore coastal ecosystems by planting mangroves in Samut Songkram Province. This initiative helped re-establish vital nursery grounds for marine life while also including the release of juvenile marine animals back into the wild. Extending beyond Samut Songkram, the Company also partnered with the Khanom Fishery Association in a coastal resource rehabilitation project aimed at protecting local fishery resources and strengthening the resilience of marine ecosystems for future generations.Marine Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration ProjectsIn 2024, Valeura reaffirmed its long-term commitment to conserving and restoring marine ecosystems and biodiversity in the areas surrounding its offshore operations. Through targeted initiatives, the Company aims to not only protect marine environments but also support the livelihoods and economic viability of the local fishing communities.
