In addition, standby vessels have historically relied on a traditional approach that keeps their engines idling to maintain positioning outside a 500-metre exclusion zone from offshore installations. This has resulted in unnecessary fuel consumption and emissions.%u2022 Set of solutions are implementedValeura developed and deployed a new Vessel Daily Reports (VDR) system, designed to input critical marine vessel operation data, which is essential for accurate monitoring and analysing of diesel consumption. This enables more effective fuel management.A dynamic daily Key Performance Indicator (KPI) system was also introduced to benchmark the actual utilisation of assets. By taking into account the number of fleet operations and the active days of vessels at the site, this system allows for more precise performance tracking on a daily basis.The Company also installed strategic mooring buoys at designated positions, enabling standby vessels to maintain their station without continuous engine operation. This practice has resulted in substantial fuel savings and reduced emissions. In addition, Valeura also implemented economic marine speed control across all vessels to optimise fuel efficiency without compromising operational effectiveness. Measures were introduced to minimise unplanned vessel calls, further reducing unnecessary fuel consumption and operational costs.
