CERTIFYING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMSValeura holds the belief that in order to ensure the quality of its management systems with regard to health, safety, and security, independent third party verification is appropriate. The Jasmine/Ban Yen, Manora, and Nong Yao fields, as well as Valeura%u2019s Bangkok Office have been certified under ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, and the Company is seeking to extend the scope to also include the Wassana field. These certifications cover quality, environment, and occupational health and safety, and indicate that appropriate management systems are in place. While attaining certification under these ISO standards indicates that appropriate management systems are in place, the process of certification also highlights industry-specific requirements which must be met to maintain such certification over time and yield the ultimate benefits, including enhanced operational efficiency, improved environmental sustainability, and a strengthened commitment to health and safety. Valeuara has implemented all such requirements.WORKPLACE SAFETY Assessing risks:Operational risks and hazards inherent to Valeura%u2019s operations are identified and assessed as part of the overall enterprise risk management process. Operational hazards are mitigated through multiple barriers and a hierarchy of controls which are pursued as much as reasonably practicable.Hierarchy of ControlsLess Effective More EffectiveProtect the workers with personal protective equipmentEliminationSubstitutionEngineering controlsAdministrative controlsPPEPhysical removal of the hazardReplacing something that produces a hazardIsolate people from hazardChanges to the way people work040 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2024%uf098 Sustainability at Valeura %uf098 Environment %uf098 Social %uf098 Governance %uf098 Appendix
