CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENTContractors are a vital part of Valeura%u2019s workforce, and therefore need to be part of the Company%u2019s safety culture. For this reason, the HSSECQ management system applies to contractors as rigorously as it does to employees. Before a contract is awarded, the Company assesses the contractor based on the level of risk associated with its work. Those classified as high-HSSECQ consequence contractors undergo a more stringent process, including pre-qualification assessments, continuous performance evaluations, and final reviews before contract closure.During daily operations, the Company ensures compliance through on-site monitoring, pre-mobilisation audits, and regular audits. Quarterly meetings with key contractors provide a forum to review HSSECQ performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs). In addition, for high-HSSECQ consequence contractors, the Company conducts annual HSSECQ audits, both on-site and at the contractor%u2019s facilities.EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESSWhile incident prevention remains a top priority, Valeura recognises the importance of emergency response planning to ensure preparedness for unforeseen events. The Company%u2019s emergency response plans align with its Health, Safety and Sustainability Policy, and cover spill response plans, evacuation procedures for natural disasters, pandemic preparedness, and other crises scenarios. In Thailand, emergency preparedness and response systems must include coordinated efforts to manage and mitigate incidents. To support this, the Company has a comprehensive Emergency Response Manual that details protocols, responsibilities, and collaboration strategies for both internal and external parties involved in crisis management. Valeura also conducts training on emergency response and tests its readiness through scenario-based exercises and simulations. Prior to any new drilling campaign or new production operation commencing, the Company conducts a simulation exercise of all the involved companies and contractors. Valeura is also a participating member of Thailand%u2019s Oil Industry Environment Safety Group Association (IESG), which entails regularly-scheduled drills and exercises in the area of oil spill response. For medical emergencies, a Medical Evacuation Response Plan (MERP) is in place, to ensure rapid transport of injured or ill personnel from offshore installations to onshore medical facilities via helicopter and vessel support. MERP drills and first-aid refresher training sessions are held annually to maintain readiness, and to ensure personnel are trained in how to serve as medical escorts as required. 61 numberof High Consequence Contractors in 2024 564 Emergency preparedness drills were conducted in 2024042 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2024%uf098 Sustainability at Valeura %uf098 Environment %uf098 Social %uf098 Governance %uf098 Appendix
