ENERGY EFFICIENCYValeura%u2019s primary source of energy for its offshore facilities is diesel fuel, which feeds generators to power its offshore production and processing equipment. This accounted for approximately 71% of the Company%u2019s total energy consumption in 2024. Hence, improving the efficiency of diesel fuel generators has been a top priority. An example of such innovation is the bi-fuel generator at Ban Yen field launched in 2023, which uses small amounts of associated gas to reduce diesel consumption, resulting in an energy reduction of over 20,000 GJ in 2024, compared to the 2023 baseline.EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCEDiesel is also the primary energy source for marine navigation purposes. In 2024 the Company implemented the Diesel Consumption Reduction Programme to optimise fuel use through more effective planning, eco-speed strategies, and increased time with vessels moored at buoys (as opposed to stationery idling). In addition, through collaboration between fields, the Company removed one vessel from its operating fleet. These adjustments resulted in savings of more than 97,000 GJ compared to the 2023 baseline. In 2024, total energy consumption increased by approximately 10% compared to the 2023 baseline, driven by the installation and operation of additional facilities. However, energy intensity remained largely unchanged (decreased by 0.2%), reflecting improvements in overall energy efficiency and more effective energy management practices.Bi-fuel generator%uf098 Sustainability at Valeura %uf098 Environment %uf098 Social %uf098 Governance %uf098 Appendix022 2024 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
