Thailand

Valeura holds an operated interest in two shallow water offshore licences in the Gulf of Thailand – Licence G10/48, containing the Wassana oil field and Licence G6/48 containing the Rossukon oil field.  Valeura is also purchasing a 100% interest* in a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (“MOPU”), onsite at the Wassana oil field.  The transaction was announced on April 28, 2022 and closed on June 15, 2022

G10/48 (Wassana field) 

Valeura holds an operated 89% working interest* in Licence G10/48, which contains the Wassana oil field, in water depth of approximately 48 metres in the Pattani basin, in the Gulf of Thailand.

Valeura holds an operated 43% working interest* in the Rossukon oil field development on Licence G6/48, which is in water depth of approximately 53 metres, in the Gulf of Thailand.

In addition, a Valeura subsidiary has entered into an agreement to acquire an interest in three more shallow water offshore Gulf of Thailand licences from Mubadala Energy – Licence B5/27 containing the Jasmine and Ban Yen oil fields, Licence G1/48 containing the Manora oil field, and Licence G11/48 containing the Nong Yao field.  The transaction, as announced on December 6, 2022, is subject to customary closing conditions and Valeura anticipates closing the transaction in Q1 2023.  

B5/27 (Jasmine and Ban Yen fields) 

Valeura is purchasing a 100% interest* in Licence B5/27, which contains the producing Jasmine and Ban Yen oil fields, located in the northern portion of the Pattani basin of the Gulf of Thailand, in 60 metres of water.

Valeura is purchasing a 70% operated interest* in Licence G1/48, which contains the producing Manora oil field, located in the Kra sub- basin, a north-west extension of the Pattani basin in the Gulf of Thailand, in 45 metres water depth.
